10 bit vs. 8 bit color – Deckard2019 – falls church, va
In response to concerns about the city banding of modernity and 8-bit processing, I ran across this site PC World, Answer Line blog 9-14-2009:

With 10 bits, you get 1024 shades of each primary color, and approximately one billion possible colors. With 12 bits, the 4096 colors and over 68 billion colors.

"If a film projected digitally in a multiplex, chances are it has the same resolution as Blu-ray 1920×1080. But a Blu-ray will look somewhere in the vicinitywhich projects well on a canvas 50 feet. Part of the reason: The theater uses 12 bits (10 bits for 3D). Film, by analogy, not a limited color depth and can theoretically offer an infinite number of colors.

And where is the exaggeration? Whatever you can do HDTV, you'll probably never content in 10-bit. Neither broadcast HDTV or Blu-ray for Deep Color. When the studio released a movie on Blu-ray with 10-bit color, the diskdoes not work on another player. It would be a form quite new is not compatible with all current disc players. "

Our First HDTV – Stunning Picture On Verizon FiOS! – Gary A – Tampa FL
After reading the reviews here at Amazon, I knew it was the HD TV I wanted. A 37 has been specified, "I was in my room for a limited space. So I started the year afer black price last Friday. The price was a bit like Christmas are approaching, but even more than I was ready to spend.

Then in March 2009, I noticed, from Sony's website that this model is no longer available set -. I knew I had to act quickly so that I'm the last one I could find before.Boy am I glad I did not!

This was our first HDTV, and here, thank you to the reviewers, they took me to the right choice. Certainly, I must compare it to another easy, but in my opinion the picture quality is fantastic! My HD source is Verizon FiOS, and they have the highest quality output is 1080i.

Setup was a breeze. Three screws and the ground was secured. Verizon installed the HD set-top box, the HDMI cable connected to my cable audio output and bingo, I was justHigh Definition. There were only a few default settings that I had to change.

Sony might be slightly more expensive, but the results were worth it. Next is a Sony Blu-ray.
